United Nations Universal Children's Day was established in 1954 and is celebrated on November 20th each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children's welfare.

International Children's Day, commonly celebrated in some countries on 1st June, dates back to 1925 when representatives from different countries met in Geneva, Switzerland to convene the first "World Conference for the Wellbeing of Children", and thereafter designated a day as Children's Day to highlight children's issues.

Many countries however use different dates for Children's Day, celebrating on days most relevant to their culture. Whatever the date, it's beautiful to support the welfare of children around the world.

UNICEF promotes the rights and well-being of every child, in everything they do. Together with their partners, they work in 190 countries and territories to translate that commitment into practical action, focusing special effort on reaching the most vulnerable and excluded children, to the benefit of all children, everywhere.
